Leaving a successful career as an accounting professional, Mona Kabir considered Web Development as a Second Career choice, funded by the Government of Ontario. The Second Career program helped Mona Kabir successfully manage the transition to become a student at Humber College's Web Development program. It was very challenging to learn new technologies: the excellent faculty at Humber helped her to build up her knowledge and skills in PHP, MySQL, ASP.NET, XML, XHTML, Photoshop, Flash among other technologies.
Her internship placement at Emond Montgomery Publications Ltd. - Canada's Leading Academic Publisher helped her to use these skills and knowledge in real life. Mona so impressed Emond Montgomery with her accomplishments in developing ecommerce and dynamic micro sites, that they offered her a permanent position as Web Developer/Programmer.
Mona Kabir has been highly successful in her career and has been enjoying the assignments being offered.
