A digital single-lens reflex (SLR) camera course for beginners. Learn camera function, design and composition. Topics will include camera controls, exposure and metering, lighting, flash and composition. You will be required to bring a digital SLR camera and tripod.

Note: If you are considering purchasing a digital camera, it is recommended that you wait until after the first class.

Distinguished Instructor: Johan Sorensen

Johan Sorensen

Sorensen has photographed high profile subjects -including Muhammad Ali - in a career spanning North America and Europe. 

The Swedish-born photographer was featured in Photosource magazine after being named Best Photographer by Kodak in 1990.  Recently, Sorensen has worked for major corporate clients such as Bacardi, Nike, and the Toronto Blue Jays and Raptors.  Johan currently teaches and coordinates Humber's Continuing Education Digital Photography program.
