The Digital Communications Studio 2 course allows students to refine their digital portfolios from the Studio 1 course into polished products to showcase their preparedness for internships and work experiences in the field of communications. Through a series of workshops, site visits and guest speakers, students get first-hand knowledge of a variety of career fields they may wish to pursue or research further and how to hone their portfolios for these differing careers. Creativity and self-reflection are encouraged throughout the course, along with presentation practice and peer-to-peer conversations and feedback. Students are challenged to examine their failures as well as their successes to continuously expand upon their learning and to make connections across all their studies to date, including core, elective and breadth classes, and extra -curricular experiences .
