This course will provide a starting point to understanding the functions of business. The major functions of business - management, human resources, operations, marketing and finance - will be examined in the Canadian environment. This course will teach students how to apply proven management practices and strategic analysis to ensure intelligent business planning, budgeting and allocation of resources to improve how organizations operate. Students will also look at the effect of emerging issues and best practices on public relations within today's global, fast-paced, technology driven economy.
