Students gain a thorough understanding of the strategic communication planning process by studying key planning concepts and putting planning techniques into action. Students learn about each step of the planning process, from identifying a public relations opportunity or problem through to developing objectives, strategies and tactics and evaluation methods. Students practise using the planning concepts and techniques through discussion and exercises about each planning component, analysis of case studies and development of plan components based on case simulations.
