This course introduces students to the operational activities found within a radio station regarding audience tastes towards specific programming and music. The development of promotional activities with specific reference to the design of marketing campaigns for Humber's radio station is also learned. Students also learn about making on-camera and live appearances on behalf of radio stations and about the use of new media and other non-traditional means of radio promotion and performance, including websites, blogging, social groups, email, podcasting and RSS (Rich Site Summary).
