In order to continue with your application for Graphic Design for Print and Web, you must complete this step in the application process. Applicant selection is based on the results of these additional requirements. This document contains all the information you need to prepare and submit additional requirements for consideration. Applicants will present a portfolio that includes 4 – 6 examples of original work, a resume, and a personal statement which summarizes academic, personal and career objectives. You should also include a written description outlining any notable details of your portfolio pieces (i.e. software used, design techniques applied and project purpose).
Applicants must submit the portfolio through SlideRoom. SlideRoom is a secure site where additional requirements are collected, scored and stored. Log-in to https://humber.slideroom.com and create your free account. There will be additional instructions once your account has been created.
Applicants must meet additional requirements in order to meet minimum program eligibility. Meeting minimum eligibility does not guarantee an offer of admission.
All additional requirements will be evaluated and a score will be calculated by the academic school.
Admission decisions will be available via MyHumber, or by email and mail. Admission decisions will not be released by phone.

Humber's Graphic Design for Print and Web (GDPW) program is for students who want to work in a creative, innovative and dynamic field. You will learn the fundamentals of design theory and communicate design thinking strategies through the use of functional composition, typography, illustration, interactive media and web design. Throughout our program, you will work towards developing a cutting-edge portfolio filled with real-world projects that will help you stand out in the creative field of graphic and web design.

Our labs are equipped with the latest Apple Macintosh workstations, up-to-date Adobe Creative Cloud software, and our course instruction is facilitated by industry-leading working professionals. Upon graduating, you may find opportunities as a junior – intermediate graphic and web designer. GDPW will prepare you with the necessary employment skills for work in creative advertising agencies, design boutiques and studios, multimedia firms, freelance opportunities and more. You can use your newly acquired knowledge and skills in HTML5, CSS and jQuery to create stunning marketing materials, impactful brand identities, engaging editorial and publication designs, and interactive websites that are mobile-ready and SEO compatible - all that meet the needs and demands of small- to large-scale companies.
